IN THE WORKS: Mothers of My Spirit

From the author's Introduction:

In this book, I will be exploring the influence that the Divine Feminine has had on my spirituality. I will revisit my early introduction to various goddesses and discuss how I am affected by and work with them today. This book is not an academic work. Though I will reflect somewhat on some history of magick and the mythologies of the goddesses I discuss, I believe you will find this book to be much more personal than your high school text book.
One caveat, as well – many of the writers and earlier leaders of magickal traditions are found to be somewhat “problematic” from today’s perspective, for various reasons. With this in mind, I want to say that I take to heart the admonition to “separate the wheat from the chaff.” Some of the most brilliant writers and leaders have been horrible people on some level. That does not mean that there is nothing useful that we can take away from their teachings.

In this book, you will find magick. You will find spells, prayers, and devotions. Certainly, you will find insight into my spiritual path. I hope that you also find inspiration for your own path.

Among the goddesses explored in Mothers of my Spirit are:

Freya
Kuan Yin
Erzuli
Shakti
Parvati
Amaterasu

Spirit Cards

Spirit Cards are a tool for Spiritual Direction or Divination, revealed to the artist in a dream in 2001. The cards are simple designs which correspond to words meant to trigger contemplation and spiritual growth, combined with a color code to assist in finding the deeper meanings of the cards.
