Suzy Jacobson Cherry



Suzy Jacobson Cherry is an award-winning poet and author who writes in various genre. Along with books, Suzy's works include articles, short stories, lyrics, rituals, and meditations. Since her poem "Ballad of Evenstar and Elfstone" was published when she was 15, her work has been in newspapers, newsletters, magazines, and broadsides in the United States and England.

She has appeared in anthologies and online publications, including River and South Review and Elephant Journal. She has featured at readings and conferences in Texas and Arizona. She has been writing on Medium since August 2022 and is the founding editor of the Medium publications Brigid’s Arrow and Petit Fours Magazine, as well as an Associate Editor of Bouncin' and Behavin' Poems. Cherry is also a contributing columnist for Newsbreak and publishes poetry and recipes on HubPages.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Suzy holds a Master of Divinity, a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies (minoring in Anthropology), an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts, and an Associate of Science in Medical Secretarial Science. She is married with four adult children and seven grandchildren.
